The Center for Epigenomics Research (http : / / epihk.ust.hk) is a part of the Hong Kong Epigenomics Project (EpiHK). The Center’s mission is to accelerate epigenetics research for scientists with various expertise.
We are seeking highly driven and enthusiastic individuals with experience in bioinformatics and system management to join our team.
Successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining and developing the Center’s database, as well as deploying and developing existing pipeline to support various epigenomic analyses.
They will also work on data curation, data deposition and other computational tasks.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree (for Research Assistant positions) or a doctoral degree (for Research Associate positions) in bioinformatics, computer science or a related discipline.
Proficiency in UNIX / Linux systems and shell scripting, programming skills (R, Perl, Python or others), pipeline development and good organization skills are required.
Experience in handling NGS data would be an advantage. The appointees should also be able to communicate effectively in English and have the ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
