The Account Executive team is a critical component to our revenue growth at Meltwater and to transform how businesses should make their decisions using media intelligence.
We drive tremendous values as a team by building awareness of Meltwater, educating the business on how to turn external data into credible insights that are used to measure organizational performance, track competitor and industry development, manage PR crises and leverage innovative opportunities, driving the sales funnel for the Meltwater solutions, and directly contributing to the success of Meltwater expansion.
About this role
You will help customers understand the value and power of our media intelligence solution and develop new and lasting relationships in a variety of accounts within the midsize to large enterprises segments in the Greater China Region.
You will be essential in helping us set, drive, and execute on our revenue goals and ultimately bring us closer to our vision of making Meltwater the default solution for companies’ media intelligence needs.
As a key member of our growing Sales organization, you’ll play a critical role in Meltwater Greater China growth and upmarket trajectory.
The ideal candidate for this individual contributor role is excited to work with corporate clients and their portfolio companies, understand their business, and help them drive the media monitoring and social analytics strategy.
In addition, the ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment while comfortable with building a pipeline of leads, executing product demos, negotiating and eventually navigating key accounts to a close.
Demonstrated success in exceeding sales objectives, knowing how to navigate complex deals with multiple decision makers and having a love for the thrill of the hunt is a key for success in this role!
What you will be doing?
Ownership of the full sales cycle from lead generation to close deal within the midsize to largest business segments across all industry
Foster new relationships for Meltwater through proactively outreach clients’ business executives over email, phone and Linkedin to learn about their business and challenges, they are mainly the executives or senior directors at the department of marketing, PR, investor relation, product
Navigate key decision makers to build Meltwater awareness within organizations
Establish lasting relationships with senior executives and decision-makers
Understanding stakeholder needs, their pain points, the common client use cases and how to sell across different industries and multiple lines of business
Articulate Meltwater’s value proposition to decision makers, assess their buying interest, pitch relevant solutions either through online demonstrations or in person meetings, negotiate the pricing and T&C and close the deal
Upsell and leverage business from new and established customer relationships
Serve as the voice of the customer and collect feedback to drive continuous improvement across all areas including product
Keep informed of product line, competition and industry trends that may impact client business activities
Diligently update our internal sales systems to stay current on leads and follow ups
Deliver a best in class client experience from the beginning of contact through onboarding stage

We would love to see
Bachelor's degree with strong academic background
3-5 years of experience in a business development, client-facing account management, or similar roles
With quota carrying experience (eg. Renewals, Sales, Account Management) in a rapidly growing organisation is highly preferred
Demonstrate knowledge of leading a medium to large enterprise account, including forecasting, quota attainment, sales presentations, and short / mid / long term opportunity management is preferred
Have good understanding of the large business organizations and their buying cycles
Excellent communication skills both with customers and within an organization
Experience in the C suite, strong executive presence and polish, and excellent listening skills
A team player that will thrive in our fluid, fast-paced, dynamic, scaling environment
A highly motivated and results-driven self-starter
Ability to operate with a sense of urgency and values accountability
Extreme curiosity to learn about the product, the industry, and your customer’s businesses
Willing to be travel (on a need basis) to different locations globally
