The Company :

Our client is a global primary research platform connecting financial institutions, consulting firms, global enterprises, and high-net-worth individuals with subject matter experts across all industries and regions.

Their goal is to provide clients with the necessary tools to gain the right insights for their research objectives. To achieve this, they conduct expert interviews, industry research, business consulting, marketing surveys, and in-person / remote conferences.

Job Responsabilities :

  • Research Managers are directly responsible for managing a strong portfolio of clients, managing team members, and recruiting industry experts.
  • We will ask you to challenge the norm and contribute to solutions to build something new to shape our firm. Have an idea on something we could be doing better?
  • Set up a meeting with your Director of Research to build a proposal and watch your idea become a reality.

  • Directly manage 1-2 Research Associates, including training, coaching, workload management, and engagement.
  • Ensure team members are achieving targets and KPIs.
  • Achieve client account goals and oversee client usage trends.
  • Work directly with well-known clients to build trust and deliver a high-quality product by serving as a partner responsible for the daily communications and service delivery for projects.
  • Contribute to a fast-paced company growth strategy through client relationship management, training junior team members, process improvement planning, and account strategy.
  • Collaborate with Account Management, Sales, Compliance, and International teams to ensure client engagement growth.
  • Due to the global nature of our business, a Research Manager will need to be flexible in working hours for engaging industry experts in various geographies.
  • Requirements

  • Strong academic background gained in any undergraduate degree
  • 1.5+ years of working experience at an expert network / primary research firm preferred
  • Fluent in English is required. Fluency in additional languages, especially south-east Asian, Mandarin, Cantonese, or Hindi languages a strong plus
  • Direct experience managing junior team members and stakeholders, as well as holding them accountable to individual targets and KPIs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to set own schedule without falling behind on tasks.
  • Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills and ability to multitask projects in a fast-paced & changing environment both independently & collaboratively.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team environment.
  • An energetic self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset who can learn quickly and actively seeks out new business opportunities.
  • Openness to being mentored and given constructive feedback.
  • Mature, professional, self-assured, presentable, humble, confident are just a few of the words to describe successful Research Managers.
