The HKUST-Nan Fung Life Sciences Joint Laboratory would like to invite outstanding young researchers to fill the Research Assistant Professor position.
The Joint Laboratory aims to harness advanced technologies to catalyze the development of next generation diagnostics and therapeutics.
Our primary focus is to discover molecular biomarkers and drug targets to develop novel diagnostics and therapeutics for aging and diseases, with the applications of state-of-the-art technologies such as high-throughput sequencing and bioinformatics platforms.
The appointee is expected to :
4) produce scientific publications, and write grant proposals and reports; and
5) help to manage the laboratory and perform other duties as assigned.
Applicants must have a PhD degree in biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline with an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
They should have solid research experience and a strong track record of research publications in reputable scientific journals.
The appointees are expected to be organized, responsible, detail-minded, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team.

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
Housing benefits will also be provided where applicable. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
