  • Thisrole focuses on Project Halley, the Group-wide project for theimplementation of IFRS 17 and IFRS 9
  • Supportthe IFRS 17 Implementation & Analytics team in the design,development and implementation of the selected IFRS 17 solutionacross different business units of theGroup
  • Work with the selected vendor to developand implement a robust solution
  • Document anddesign the Sub-Ledger end to end detailed productionflow
  • Take a leading role in the development ofanalytics function to enhance management reporting of IFRS 17results
  • Responsibilities : Overall


  • Supportthe Head of IFRS 17 Implementation & Analytics in overallleadership on Project Halley IFRS 17 implementation relatedactivities
  • Provide actuarial expertise andsupport during projectimplementation
  • VendorManagement

  • Partner withAIA’s selected implementation partners, driving them to highquality and timely delivery of theirresponsibilities
  • ProjectManagement

  • Ensure deliveryof the implementation plan to agreed timescales, providing clear,supportable justifications forexceptions
  • Clearly define and documentworkstream scope and ensure traceability of this through all stagesof delivery
  • Support different stakeholders withall workstream information needs, manage inter workstream conflictsand dependencies
  • Provide process tracking andall necessary reporting to stakeholders and Program ManagementOffice
  • Support managementof all workstream issues and risks
  • Interactwith key stakeholders of the future state solution, accommodatingtheir engagement, participation in delivery and have their needsmet upon projectioncompletion
  • SolutionDelivery

  • The candidate willcontribute substantially to the implementationdesign
  • Develop testing plans, control processesof IFRS 17 system
  • Conduct technical training,workshops and discussion forums to local business units to supportGroup wide IFRS 17 implementation
  • Support localbusiness units across the Group to drive the implementation of IFRS17
  • Analytics

  • Assessfinancial impacts, explain key results and movements in adoptingIFRS 17 during the project phase
  • Participate inthe design and development of in depth analytics function insupporting management reporting framework for IFRS17.
  • Requirements : Education


  • Degreeholder in Actuarial Science, Mathematics orStatistics
  • Experience

  • Minimum12 years’ experience in the life insurance industry with strongbusiness sense and Actuarialknowledge
  • ProfessionalQualifications

  • FSA orequivalent
  • Skills

  • Knowledgeand experience in IFRS 17 is a strongplus
  • Consulting and project managementexperience is a plus
  • Ability to operateeffectively and independently in complex programenvironment
  • Excellent communication andnegotiation skills with variousstakeholders
  • Embrace ownership in various tasksand able to provide thoughtfulrecommendations
  • Good problem solving and stronganalytical skills, able to clearly present results systematicallyand logically
  • Strong managerial experience andleadership ability in coaching junior teammembers
