As a QA Engineer, you ensure high quality software is delivered in each release, by designing and running tests to validate applications and systems in the respect of RGA Asia standards and QA processes, to deliver the intended value to all stakeholders.
You focus on preventing defects and contribute to the overall improvement of development processes. This collaborative role requires working with QA, development and business teams to find the best methods for preventing and solving issues.
To succeed in this role, you need to be thorough and meticulous, have a hands-on approach to issues, and like to deep-dive in technical products while remaining constantly up to date with their status and how they integrate to RGA landscape.
Be accountable for test plans, documentation and environments in the respect of RGA processes
Clarify program requirements with business and IT stakeholders
Estimate, prioritize, plan, document, coordinate and execute the testing effort for any given engagement, thriving to deliver test results rapidly and at a controlled cost
Analyze, document and share test findings, including ways of fixing identified issues
Track QA metrics across an entire program
Track the resolution of identified issues to ensure they are closed in a reasonable timeframe
Deploy, train and manage appropriate resources for testing as required
Collaborate with QA automation engineer to identify the manual tests to automate
Collaborate with IT teams to inject QA into the development process
Education and Experience
4+ years of QA, software or system testing experience
Excellent understanding of QA methodologies, life cycle and processes
Experience writing and executing test cases, test plans and test design documents based on engineering and customer specifications in parallel of development work
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, STEM or equivalent experience
Experience with continuous integration systems like Jenkins and Terraform
Experience in DevOps and Agile methodologies
Previous exposure to Information Security and compliance controls
Experience collaborating with a wide range of IT and business stakeholders, including coordinating people and teams
Organizational skills with strong attention to details
Ability to show empathy to understand and reproduce issues
Strong verbal and written communication demonstrating ability to efficiently share information, influence decisions, negotiate and network
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to adapt quickly to new methods and work under tight deadlines
Ability to set goals and handle multiple tasks, stakeholders and projects simultaneously
