This role will help develop and execute an innovative and strategic media program for the Asia Private Bank. Working closely with the business’ senior management, this person should embody the brand and serve as an advocate for visibility and awareness of the unit's ultra-high-net worth business, its products and services, and leadership.
The person will coordinate with regional partners to ensure the press strategy is consistent in key messages and regionally appropriate.
Specific responsibilities include :
Proactively identifying media opportunities and trends for tv and digital / print placements.
Identifying and building out executive thought leadership platforms including pitches, briefings.
Researching and preparing media responses, Q&As and press releases.
Researching and assisting with media award applications for executives, advisors and products.
Media training and coach executives ahead of interviews and public appearances.
Real-time monitoring of the Asia competitive landscape in the press for senior management.
Developing effective reporting / metrics of media relations activity.
Partnering with Internal Communications to deliver consistent franchise messaging.
Bachelor’s degree required.
5+ years of media relations experience, preferably at a leading wealth or asset manager, fintech firm, or in the financial practice at a top tier public relations agency.
Solid knowledge of financial products and markets.
Good relationships with the financial media.
Excellent written, verbal and public speaking skills in traditional and simplified Chinese.
Ability to coach executives on how to deal with the press effectively.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
Ability to manage large-scale, complex projects with discipline and precision.
Experience using social media for communications
Outstanding judgment, problem-solving ability and resourcefulness.
Ability to work independently with little direction, and self-motivate.
