How you will contribute :

  • Ensure the smooth execution of event production and logistics, including preparation of all event materials, room and exhibition allocation, catering, signage, AV, staffing schedules and onsite delivery
  • Liaise with the marketing team, sales team and event programming team in order to keep event projects on track
  • Create, maintain and monitor individual budgets for all events for which you are directly responsible, working creatively to maintain cost control and quality of event, including identification of and negotiation with venues, suppliers, and other contractors
  • Act as sponsor and exhibitor liaison, ensuring contract fulfilment and handling any queries before, during, and after the event
  • Liaise with speakers on audio-visual requirements, collation of presentation materials, flights and accommodation, etc.
  • Make travel and accommodation arrangements for on-site team
  • Attend all assigned events and direct staff on-site
  • Experience, skills and professional attributes

    To succeed in the role you must have :

  • 5 years or more of proven experience gained in a similar role within the events industry
  • Strong spoken and written English skills. A second language would be advantageous
  • Ability to plan, drive and manage different projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to take on cost management responsibility
  • Confidence and professional approach (on the telephone and face-to-face) when dealing with speakers, sponsors, delegates and suppliers at a very senior level
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • A keen eye for detail and strong organization skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft / Adobe products
