Application Support Engineer - Hong Kong

We automate critical business processes for over 1,000 manufacturers, governments, utilities, insurance companies, large financial institutions, third-party processors and banks, as well as Shared Service and BPO organizations.
JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES :
To face clients; receive and take ownership of support requests; perform investigation, resolve, or work with developers to close support requests
Work at customer site (including overseas)
Produce Root Cause Analysis after issue has been resolved
Perform QA / Testing (as part of SDLC or product deployment)
Support deployment, production installation, and configuration
Handling small size programming enhancement projects and change / add-on requests
Work beyond office hours if required for criterial support or deployment
Testing documentation and incident / service report writing
REQUIRED SKILL-SET :
Minimum 2 years’ experience preferred (Customer Support Experience)
A more experienced candidate can be hired as an Application Support Analyst
Diploma / Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
Certification on IT Service Management is a plus
Able to converse and write well in English
Strong understanding of document imaging software is an advantage
Good understanding in networking, hardware (including Servers, UPS, virtualization)
Good experience in object-oriented programming, e.g., C#, Java
Experience with tools like MS SQL, MS Visual Studio, MS TFS; virtualization tools like VM ware, Hyper-V preferred
Experience with server management and various versions of Windows OS
Experience with remote diagnosis technology, e.g., Webex, Teamviewer, Checkpoint Secure Remote. NetMeeting, Skype, etc.
Experience in banking, insurance, government, or other mission-critical applications;
Good team player, willing to learn and accept ideas with an open mind
Punctual, courteous, and consistent attendance
Motivated and take initiative to complete work efficiently
Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritization of tasks
