POSITION SUMMARY

As a Business Analyst, you will be the travel retail team’s reference for data and support of our strategic planning activities.

Key responsibilities include travel retail market analyses to inform business development strategy as well as the continuous improvement of our travel and sales tracking tools.

Using your relationship-building skills, you will connect with global markets on strategic projects and share data-driven insights that help to shape Cartier’s travel retail business.

TRAVEL RETAIL INDUSTRY INTELLIGENCE

  • Organize data sharing sessions on key tourism industry topics (UNTWO, Hurun, Global Blue, C-Trip, and Richemont internal) with a specific focus on Chinese tourism
  • Utilize traffic monitoring tools and maintain our interactive traveller dashboards
  • Analyse the strategies of TR operators in regard to target clientelling, expansion plans, M&A, organizational changes, and evolutions in Retail concept
  • Build and maintain a database to track airport concession durations, renewals, tender dates, tendering companies ( ) and alert on potential changes of operators
  • Collect information on new TR projects in different channels (downtown, airport, cruise, or E-Com) to secure the best locations for Cartier in early project stages
  • GLOBAL TRAVEL RETAIL - BUSINESS PLANNING & MONITORING

  • Maintain the global database for our existing travel retail network with existing boutiques as well as planned openings, renovations, and closures.
  • Prepare 3Y and 5Y business forecasts based on network development plans, input from Cartier’s global markets, and external sources
  • Prepare and share global quarterly reports summarizing key travel retail activity
  • TRAVEL RETAIL ASIA - COMMERCIAL REPORTING & ANALYSIS

  • Monitor sales trends and results for each boutique & POS, both in sell-in and sell-out, and consolidate and share monthly reports
  • Consolidate and report definitive sales results (monthly) and forecasts (weekly) to HQ, working closely with Operations, Commercial and Finance teams
  • Ensure accurate upload of sales forecast & budget on a quarterly basis, at boutique and product category level
  • EVENT PREPARATION (TAX FREE WORLD ASSOCIATION TRADE SHOWS)

  • Support relevant preparation to ensure the event organization and commercial meetings. Examples of work include but not limited to commercial report preparation, event organization and coordination, etc.
  • KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s degree in engineering, information systems, statistics, or business
  • Relevant internships in retail, travel retail, luxury, marketing & sales
  • Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis
  • Comfort with ambiguous, ever-changing situations in a fast-paced environment
  • Capability to drive an independent workstream in the context of a broader team project
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, working knowledge of PowerBI is a plus
  • Fluent in English, Mandarin is a plus
  • ELIGIBILITY TO THE VIE PROGRAM

  • Candidates between 18 and 28 years old
  • Nationals of Member States of the European Economic Area (EAA), who have fulfilled their national service obligations
