Hang Seng’s Communications is dedicated to enhancing the Bank’s image by strengthening relationships with different stakeholders.

We formulate communications strategy to promote the Bank’s corporate image, products and services. We monitor public opinion on the Bank and ensure important messages are conveyed in a timely and effective manner.

The Communications Department also safeguards Hang Seng’s strong brand and position as the leading domestic bank in Hong Kong by advising on reputational matters.

The Communications function also includes editorial services and internal communications. It is responsible for the production of key corporate literature, including the annual report.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Communications Manager .

Principal responsibilities

Plan and deliver effective external and internal communications programmes for the Bank, with a particular focus on insurance business

Actively engage with business and functional peers to help create an external profile for the business and strengthen understanding and engagement among internal audience

Maintain knowledge of stakeholder requirements, competitor activities and market trends to formulate communications direction and identify issues which may have an impact on the business

Contribute to effective media communications and messaging for Bank events and announcements

Draft press releases as well as external and internal communications materials

Monitor public opinion on the Bank and support media monitoring


  • University degree in journalism, communications, translation or a related discipline
  • Over 8 years of experience in corporate communications or media relations
  • Strong communications experience and understanding of the insurance and banking sector, as well as media environment
  • A demonstrable track record of driving public relations programmes for a sizable organisation
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work under pressure
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua an advantage
  • Proficiency in PC applications
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
