OMICRON is a leading manufacturer of primary and secondary test equipment for electric power systems. The Application Engineer (Primary Testing), Asia will be responsible for providing technical and application support for OMICRON products and services to our customers in the Asia region.
The position is to be located in our OMICRON Service Center in Hong Kong or other southeast Asia countries and will be reporting to Regional Manager, Asia.
Your tasksProvide technical and application support for OMICRON products and services to our customers, particularly on primary testing and diagnostic equipment for high voltage assets, such as, power transformer, instrument transformer, switchgear, rotating machines and ancillary equipmentProduct consultation and training on electrical theory and diagnostic methods, including application, data analysis, power system apparatus evaluation and report generation to our customer base.
Topics will include but are not limited to : Power Factor (PF), Sweep Frequency Response Analysis (SFRA), Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA), Dielectric Frequency Response Analysis (DFR), and Partial Discharge (PD.
Proactively conduct customer visits to lead and support sales of primary testing and diagnostic equipment for high voltage assetsCarry out measurements and lead our customers through training and on-
site testingSupport the marketing & sales activities of OMICRON by actively performing on-site sales demos, participating in trade shows, user meetings and workshops.
Observe and document customer and market requirements to further develop our productsProvide input on new products, product strategies, product marketing, development, and application needs.
