Development :
Development of regional Airfreight Products & assist with the development of local airfreight products (inbound and outbound)
Support the growth of the air product through close interaction with the business leaders with an objective of growing BDP’s tonnage and profitability.
In these interactions with business leaders, ensure every experience is a positive one for both the internal and external customer.
Accountable in Tender, Implementation and Retention Process
Responsible for assisting in consistent consolidation startup for both key import and & key export lanes

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Assumes accountability for Procurement relative to :
Secure marketable buy rates; ULD’s / CPA / consolidation programs for BDP’s air freight product.
Support sales efforts within BDP to gain new business opportunities for the airfreight product.
Assist gateways with local contract negotiations / rate efforts.
Monitor Innovations and changes in the Industries landscape.
Accountable to for updating Catapult with current rate levels for all air products.
Coordinate with the pricing team for daily rate quotes over 5,000 kgs Regional Spot desk
Coordinate with the RFQ team when special buys needed for regional and global RFQ’s
Responsible to communicate all rate changes and carrier changes / agreements with operations globally and with key customers.
Maintain and create reports to run the airfreight business, Monthly Market Air Product Update with KPI’s
Analyze reports to spot trends and advise MD’s and sales where the market trend is heading.
Work in conjunction with the Global business analyst of BDP Smart Insight to maintain and improve BDP Smart Insight for air
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES :
Responsible to ensure that all air inquiries are handled properly and expeditiously in accordance with corporate standards.
Effective use of problem-solving skills, innovation and Product strategies.
Build strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
Handle individual rate quotes to the group within the time frame provided.
Assist with tender management team when needed.
Update FSC and SSC tables in BDP Transport system and advise all operations.
Exemption Type Exempt (Salaried) Job Requirements
PRE-REQUISITES :
Experiences : 6 - 8 years of direct industry experience required. 3 years direct procurement with airlines preferred
Education : Tertiary Degree with degree in Logistics / Supply Chain is preferred.
Knowledge /
Technical Skills : Must be fluent in Excel, Word and other PC applications.
Personal Traits : Outstanding communication skills, detail oriented, organized, team-oriented, high-energy, dependable, willing to travel, etc.
