Product Pricing and Technical Support& Governance
Technicalreview and inputs to medical cost assumptions and pricing models, groupunderwriting methods, health risks management of new and refreshed products;
ProvideChief Actuary and other key decision-makers with relevant risk assessment tosupport decisions on technical pricing or group underwriting quotations;
Establishbest practice and tools for product pricing and performance monitoring;
Reviewreinsurance arrangement to achieve optimal strategic alignment, product propositionand profitability
Ensureadequate transparency of business performance through timely reports oftechnical and business decisions, and regular experience reviews.
Strivefor health product innovations and feasibility study to enhance customer valuepropositions and business growth opportunities across distribution channels;
Maintainand further develop product knowledge base to facilitate knowledge sharing andidea generation;
Leadresearch and regular updates of public-private healthcare systems to identifyopportunities and manage risks.
Performance Monitoring / Product Management
Leadtechnical analysis and develop tools to systematically review and monitor performance;
Steerinsights from technical analyses to drive business actions to improve Health& Employee Benefits portfolio performance and achieve targets;
Recommendsolutions to overcome challenges and risks;
Co-ordinateand work with other teams (e.g., Claims, Underwriting, Medical Networks) todrive recommended solutions;
Providetechnical guidance to align reporting metrics for Health & EmployeeBenefits across Life / GI entities.
Participatein Strategy Planning and regular Business Reviews to drive Health &Employee Benefits strategy and actions to manage key business risks with internaland external stakeholders;
Developtalent through appropriate guidance, training and development initiatives.
Proven experience inproduct pricing in insurance industry, particularly in Health & EB;
Fellow Actuary - Goodtechnical foundation, with excellent working knowledge of actuarial techniques,issues and application to product pricing and experience review, and reporting;
Strong working knowledgeof insurance product development process, including marketing, operation, distribution and systemsconsiderations;
Familiar with insurancecompany business and operations in a multi-national company setting;
Strong drive, able towork independently and take lead in designated projects with multiplestakeholders;
Excellent influencing,negotiating skills and communication capability, including the ability tointeract and partner with other team leaders to achieve objective.
