The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) has started to establish The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) (HKUST (GZ)) in the Mainland.
The new campus will synergize with and maintain the same academic standard and strives to create a world class, iconic campus by combining the needs of the HKUST (GZ) with the natural beauty of the site, and the future urban context of the surrounding neighborhoods.
We are now seeking a highly motivated individual to lead and manage the consultants on the design program from initial stage to production stage, including design, quality control and materials to fulfill the University’s requirements.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Campus Development and Facilities Management Office and designated personnel, the appointee will be required to station and work in the Mainland, initially in Nansha, with frequent business travels to Clear Water Bay campus as required.
g. Manage and monitor all A&A works including providing professional advice on alternations and renovations of existing facilities, designing and preparing necessary drawings and specifications, and issuing work orders, etc.
Qualifications & Experiences
a. A bachelor’s degree or above in Architecture / Building Surveyor / Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
b. Minimum 12 years’ relevant working experience in design management of building and infrastructure development and on site co-ordination of building projects.
h. Uncompromised integrity.
Terms of Appointment
This is a Mainland appointment and the appointee will be offered a contract by the HKUST Mainland entity in accordance with the local labor laws and regulations.
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract, renewable on mutual agreement.
