Overview of the role

We are currently looking for a Business Development Executive to join our ABC (Advertising, Banking and Consultancy clients) & TG (Trade & Government) sales team in our Hong Kong office.

As a Business Development Executive you will be responsible for targeting new organisations across the Bank, Consultancy be responsible for establishing contact with prospective customers within government and trade organisations within Hong Kong and Taiwan.

The main task of the role will be to target new organisations and introduce Euromonitor’s capabilities, demonstrate our award-winning databases, discuss client needs and match them to the appropriate products.

Key responsibilities

  • Generate sales with new clients in your designated territory across Passport (database subscription) and consulting solutions (custom research);
  • Identify key sponsors, influencers and decision makers at target companies and ensure that you understand their roles and objectives, and that they understand the benefits and applications of using data.
  • Create and execute a sales plan in order to reach sales targets;
  • Research and update a strong prospect list;
  • Take ownership of your personal sales targets and territory;
  • Develop your new clients so they know how to use their online service;
  • Manage and nurture ongoing client relationships with accounts through the entire tender process and procurement.
  • Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years of B2B consultative selling experiencing, selling into either Agencies, Banks, Consultancy, Trade or Government organizations.
  • An outstanding personal sales track record
  • Proven experience of selling to large multi-national organisations
  • Comfortable with cold calling
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Tenacity, drive and resilience
  • Commercial awareness
  • A targets-driven approach to work
  • Experience in research and / or consumer-related and / or financial service sales
  • Self-motivated and organised
  • Fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese to align with the local market requirements
