Fresh Sushi Specialist

Job Description

Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of sushi production including

planning the use of materials and human resources towards maximum productivity and driving business development by identifying opportunities to increase sales and profit.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned


Manage the performance of the Sushi team; hiring and training new teammates as needed

Provide direction and coaching to teammates ensuring strict adherence to programs and operating standards in respect to food safety and quality, productivity, and health and safety

Create labour, production and distribution schedules

Review and evaluate processes and procedures including the identification and implementation of efficiencies and cost saving measures

Business Development

Maintain awareness of industry, competition and market conditions and leverage current customer relationships to develop new business opportunities

Product and people development

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

3 years or above experience in Sushi sales and / or production or catering

Strong business acumen and ability to manage a P&L

Ability to identify and commercialize business development opportunities

Self-starter and highly motivated with strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Abilities and Skills

Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, and Word

Communication skills in both verbal and written (English, Cantonese or Mandarin)

Excellent time management and interpersonal skills

Must be detail-oriented and a team-player

Can work independently
