Retail Distribution

Hang Seng's Retail Distribution focuses on personal wealth management and financial services. Our one-stop wealth management initiatives are designed for both our affluent and mass integrated account customers.

With more than 290 branches and automated banking centres, including around 60 Prestige Banking Centres for our high-end personal customers, we serve over half of the adult population in Hong Kong while offering an extensive range of products to our valued customers.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Head of Business Development .

Principal responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement business development initiatives
  • Lead a team of RM and onboarding specialist to achieve assigned KPIs
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with different stakeholders and product owners to formulate and execute strategy, sales and service model for offshore banking business
  • Initiate and drive innovative and forward-looking projects / initiatives that align with bank’s directions and business focuses
  • Driving strategic business decisions with regard to customer feedback and business needs
  • Review and monitor team operation and activities ensure strict adherence to the compliance standards
  • Qualifications

  • University degree or other relevant qualifications such as CFA, CFP or CFMP
  • Passes in the Hong Kong Securities Institute Licensing Examinations and fulfil the competency requirements to carry out regulated activities as defined under the Regulator
  • Minimum 8 years of sales experience including 5 years in managing the portfolio of high net worth customers
  • Solid exposure to Mainland market segment and have experience in dealing with Mainland clients
  • Strong understanding of branch services and operations
  • Strong self-motivation and drive to succeed, with ability to work under pressure
  • High level of customer centricity mindset with dedication to deliver exceptional quality services for customers
  • Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • High proficiency in Mandarin is a MUST. Good command of Cantonese and English is an advantage
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for the lower level position)
