Delivery Manager - Digital Solutions


The role is to manage a team of internal subordinates and external IT SolutionProviders to perform day-to-day solution delivery activities, and beaccountable for the solution estimation, quality and efficiency of all HKsystems.

This role is also accountable for the interface between HK systems andRegional systems, and ensures the successful launch of Regional systems for HK.

Core Responsibilities

  • Work with internal and external IT Solution Providers to provide applicationsolution estimation for all system development work
  • Encapsulate technical details of the solution, translate and communicatethem as benefits and risks to allow business to evaluate solutions in businessperspective
  • Accountable for deliveringapplication solution to meet agreed baseline estimate
  • Ensure application solutionmeet AXA’s policies, standards and quality requirement
  • Support Project Managers inmanaging scope, schedule, and cost throughout the project delivery life cycle acrossmultiple medium to large scale IT projects
  • Manage technical issues andmitigate technical risks
  • Manage maintenance worktransition from Solution Providers to the Production Support team
  • Communicate confirmed scopeand schedule change of IT projects with Solution Providers
  • Approve software migrationpackage prepared by Solution Providers
  • Coordinate with Release Management forproduction migration and promotion
  • Qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science or related fields
  • Extensive experience in IT solution delivery, with a minimum of 3 years in a people management role gained from insurance or financial services field.
  • Experience in enterprise mobile and web application development, external facing solutions and partner integration (chatbot, wechat, FPS, etc)
  • Strong experience in development as technical lead contributing to technical design, providing guidance to developers and ensuring code quality.
  • In depth and solid hands-on experience in React JS, Redux, Javascript, HTML / CSS and RESTful API.
  • Strong knowledge in wide range of technical landscape and latest technologies OAuth, Azure, DevOps CICD, Mulesoft API and data lake etc.
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum development environment.
  • Experience in managing external vendors to deliver applications that meet company defined quality standards.
  • Strong solution delivery management skills and experience, and a proven track record of implementing multiple medium to large-scale systems in parallel.
  • Good communications skills in English and Cantonese.
