Credit Suisse’s Asia Pacific Markets ( APAC Markets ) legal team is seeking a full-time lawyer based in Hong Kong to provide legal support to various APAC Markets business-units with a primary focus on corporate equities derivatives, FX and rates derivatives.

The team is a key partner of the APAC Markets business, advising on legal and regulatory issues applicable to overall business strategy, in addition to detailing new products and transaction execution.
Working closely with structurers, traders and sales teams at all stages of the transaction life cycle, the role will enable the successful candidate to develop a high level of specialist legal expertise in corporate equities derivatives.
As the business operates on a global basis, the role will involve direct responsibility for transactions in APAC and regular exposure with colleagues in EMEA and US.

Your skills and experience
This is a technically challenging and highly rewarding role which offers the opportunity to work on high quality tailored equity derivatives and financing transactions from a technical and commercial perspective.
Knowledge / Experience :
Transaction experience / product knowledge in derivatives (preferably equities)
ISDA documentation experience at transactional level (collars, forwards, total return swaps, call spreads)
ISDA documentation general experience at Master Agreement level
Broad knowledge of financial services legal and regulatory issues
Qualifications :
Common law qualified lawyer
5-6 PQE in banking and / or derivatives
Post-qualification experience of structuring transactions and drafting documentation for derivatives and / or structured finance transactions gained at an international law firm and / or leading financial institution
Skills :
Outstanding technical skills, including drafting skills, and analytical ability and familiarity with ISDA documentation
Strong communication skills (both written and oral), to perform a role with a high degree of front office contact and negotiate documentation with clients
Good business judgement and commercial competence
Outstanding time management and prioritisation skills
Ability to work as part of a team, as the role requires collaboration with different partners and functions across several jurisdictions within CS
