Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with global and regional project managers for the development book of work under the ISO 20022 migration for cross-border and domestic payments in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Participate in end-to-end project lifecycle from project initiation to product launch. Possess the ability to work in a Dev Ops & Agile environment.
  • Collaborate closely and effectively with multiple teams from IT, Transformation and business for project delivery.

  • Work with domain architects to propose and drive appropriate IT solutions to fulfil client and business requirements from front to back, determine the scope of changes, estimate costs, assess impacts and risks of changes, provide options for global and regional stakeholders for review and decisions.
  • Present solutions to regional and global parties at a reasonably detailed level to get their understanding and sign-off.
  • Perform hands-on solution design, provide guidance to development teams for aligning to the design principles, business requirements and quality standards, coordinate with the testing lead and junior Client for test planning, test execution and defect management.
  • Coordinate with the relevant IT teams to support business parties on UAT execution.

  • Produce relevant project documentation as and when required along with the Agile TOM.
  • Actively participate in product control group meetings and prepare backlogs for work prioritization.
  • Demonstrate accountability with end-to-end ownership of deliverables for global and regional business.
  • Ensure successful system deliveries according to agreed requirements, timescales and budget.
  • Control - Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which you are involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.
  • Qualification and Experience Requirements

  • Degree holder in information technology, mathematics or engineering discipline or equivalent with a total of at least 10 years IT related working experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of technology business analysis experience in the finance and banking industry environment.
  • Good product and operational knowledge on cross-border and / or domestic payments is an advantage
  • Solid experience on full software development lifecycles, from initiation to implementation
  • Skillful in writing process flows
  • Solid technical background with exposure to open-platform and cloud based engineering is an advantage
  • Experience in managing both onshore and offshore resources
  • Extensive experience of working with global teams to deliver global projects
  • Highly organized mind-set with the ability to work under pressure and operate in a multi-functional, matrix environment
  • Ability to articulate the business benefits associated with the bank's strategy
  • Ability to analyze critical paths across multiple teams and resolve conflicts
  • Ability to build strong subject matter expert knowledge for oneself and for junior Client
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
  • Strong commitment to delivery and quality of service
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with good command of written and spoken English
  • Fluency in Mandarin is an essential to communicate with stakeholders and teammates based in Mainland China
  • Must be a team player
  • Experience in leading a team or an agile POD is a plus
