Manager, Group Business Development, SME Segment

The incumbent will be responsible for leading a team of sales staff to manage the sales, marketing and administrative functions focusing on business development for Corporate SMEs.

He / she will work with various external and internal stakeholders to maximize the sale channels, effectiveness of processes and provide optimum services.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Proactively explore the direct channels to drive sales opportunities for the Corporate SMEs
  • Achieve individual and / or team targets and develop, coach and motivate other team members to collectively achieve team sales targets
  • Provide effective solutions to clients including but not limited to quotations, service proposals, client implementations and escalate enquiries to department head when necessary
  • A self-starter able to proactively setup and manage client activities to generate new business relationships and providing efficient and quality services
  • Handle renewals to achieve target client persistency
  • Be Cigna’s Ambassador : attend corporate and networking functions for exposure and branding
  • Bridge communications between internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist on any ad-hoc business projects
  • Job Qualifications :

  • Minimum 8 years’ related working experience in business development, employee benefits and advisory, insurance agency or telemarketing
  • Experience in institutional selling in health, insurance or financial services with proven track record is preferred
  • Strong relationship management skills, having experience to build network of contacts and relationship is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Capability of operating in a fast paced and high-growth environment, with experience to develop strategic business plans from concept to execution;
  • Self-driven, with strong sense of business acumen, adaptable, able to manage priorities under time pressure.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • IIQE Paper 1,2,3 required
