Logistics Manager (Asia Sourcing/Supply Chain)

Job description

  • Lead the logistics team to optimize cost effectiveness, achieve service level metrics within set lead time; manage logistics budget & achieve per plan
  • Partner with internal supply chain teams (Planning, Production, Customer Service) and Finance team to ship on time and achieve billing budget
  • Develop strategy to monitor overall logistics operations to ensure smooth operational flow, compliance with government regulations and internal control by developing policies, guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Negotiate and manage 3rd party logistics (3PLs) to ensure service level achievement and cost optimization through planning and communication
  • Manage stock flow, accuracy and planning the right level to achieve shipment and driving old-stock or 2nd choice depletion with various stakeholders
  • Support vendor performance management in terms of SOP compliance, minimize logistics discrepancy and impact on downstream activities
  • Filing of VAT and other necessary import & export documentation for audit compliance
  • Contract terms review and alignment with logistics arrangement to optimize time & cost and achieve on time delivery
  • Ensure shipping & logistics documentation complying with regulations & rules of all markets
  • Manage encompassing inbound and outbound delivery. To improve the logistics operation efficiencies to manage direct drop shipment to American, European and Asia countries from origins in Asia
  • Manage and liaise with forwarder and logistics partners by periodic reviewing freight rates, loss / damage claims, payment terms and transportation arrangement
  • Manage 3PLs warehouse of pick & pack activities and warehouse inventory management
  • Continue to drive for optimized routing, logistics network efficiency, air / sea expense monitoring, tariff rates and supplier service level enforcement;
  • looking out for new solutions for better customer service and efficiency

  • Work closely and collaboratively with other teams to meet both regional Sourcing goals and as part of the global Supply Chain resources to support ad-hoc projects and new initiatives
  • Work closely with Central Supply Chain team and extend the support to other platforms on the logistics area
  • Work closely and support the need from central warehouse in France (same for other markets) and handle any non-comply shipments
  • Understand the trade regulation from regions and markets and share the update with related parties
  • Ad hoc logistics projects when needed, e.g. RFQ for warehousing, 3PLs
  • Profile

  • Degree holder in supply chain management or related discipline with relevant working experience is preferred
  • 10-12 years’ experience in supply chain / logistics management, preferably in garment manufacturing MNCs
  • Good understanding of global customs / labeling compliance & tariffs requirement especially in Asia countries
  • Able to direct and control the activities of planning and reporting, inventory management, 3rd party logistics & shipping / delivery operation
  • Experience with ERP & / WMS, good knowledge in customs requirement of key markets (Europe, America & Asia Pacific)
  • Good leadership, communication & inter-personal skills, pro-active in problem solving and willing to take challenge
  • Good command of spoken and written Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin) and English
