Participate in a large-scale collaborative multidisciplinary research in the areas of Design and Structural Materials (meta materials, lattice structure, lightweight design), 3D / 4D Additive Manufacturing Design, Nano Mechanics;
Mechanics of Soft Matter, Robotic Fish; Nanostructured Metallic Materials (metallic glasses, HEA, alloys design), Experimental Nanomechanics, Precious Metal Based Nanomaterials and Material Spectroscopy Analysis (X-rays, SERS);
Apply for research funding;
Assist in knowledge transfer of research work to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Mechanical Engineering and / or Materials Science and Engineering;
Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students; and
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Principle Investigator and Head of Department.
A PhD degree with strong background in Mechanical Engineering / Materials Science and Engineering. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, and proficiency in English are required.
Preference will be given to highly motivated candidates with specialties and excellent track records in academic or industrial R&D in the related research areas, relevant research with strong emphasis on Advanced Peak Numerical Analysis and teaching experience.
