Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related disciplines from an accredited institution;
Minimum 5 - 10 years of working experience in the settlement and operations department at a prestigious financial institution, in a team-leading or senior position;
Solid experience of the operations and settlement of Equities, Fixed Income, mutual funds, derivatives, etc in the Hong Kong, greater China and overseas markets;
Ability to handle the full settlement cycle with CCASS is a must
Good understanding of the procedures for clearing, fees and commissions calculation, handling corporate actions, fund transfers and settlement instructions;
the requirements of client confirmations and statements; and the relevant SFC and HKEx rules and regulations;
Knowledge of the Ayers Back Office System will be an advantage;
Customer centric, efficient, strong common sense, be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers;
Strong sense of responsibility and be able to work reliably under pressure and overtime;
Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Handles and manages the daily settlement functions to deliver a timely, smooth, reliable and efficient service to an expanding customer base
Coordinates with the Responsible Officers, IT department, Dealing department and the wealth management teams to develop new operational and settlement procedures, for delivering new financial services and products to our customers, following standards and industrial best practices.
Continually streamlining existing processes and procedures.
Enforces segregation of duties by verifying and approving the transactions, amendments and data changes made by the settlement team
Performs and develops procedures for reconciling transactions and stock holdings among various systems together with IT
Manages projects related to the Settlement Department
