Key stakeholder in DFI for provider of new Retail Analytics SaaS platform, ensuring the platform is delivered as per requirements and timings
Owner of DFI retail analytics roadmap, promoting new capabilities and driving consistency with South East Asia counterparts
Understand the existing and potential analytics needs of each of the retail banners’ commercial teams and represent these to development partners
Senior stakeholder management of North Asia banners to drive understanding, engagement, and adoption of Retail Analytics Platform
Recruit and manage the North Asia retail analytics team to ensure successful deployment of the new platform into banners
Support the development of the Retail Analytics Platform by ensuring analytical approaches are tested and trialed successfully in iterative PoCs
Ensure high levels of engagement from banners through use of insight trials, development of case studies, training, super users etc.
Management of cross-banner insight projects with other development partners.
Own and drive adoption of insight into key business processes including ranging and promotional planning through development of new processes
Own and drive foundational analytics projects that apply across banners, e.g. affluence and missions segmentations
The main day-to-day responsibilities are :
Close liaison with provider of Retail Analytics Platform to ensure platform development and deployment meets business needs
Oversight of banner level analytics support provision to ensure deliverables are high quality and drive business impact
Manage other third-parties and development partners to deliver roadmap priorities
To act as a trusted adviser and main point of contact to the banner leadership team as a provider of reliable, knowledgeable and innovative data insight
Management of banner analytics teams to ensure skills development and sharing of best practices
Do you have experience in analytical field?
Degree in a relevant subject or related field, e.g. business, analytics, mathematics, computer / data science, engineering
Experience in analytics or data science in a grocery or retail environment, either directly or through a leading consultancy (e.
g. AIMIA, Dunnhumby, Symphony AI, Quantium)
Persuasive, clear oral and written communication skills
Commercially savvy and able to influence and engage effectively
Leadership, having built and led analytical teams
Good working knowledge of analytical techniques and technology
Experience dealing with very large data volumes
Focus on quality assurance and testing
Eye for detail and quality
Established data science and programming skills is a plus
