Customer Value Management is vital in maintaining HSBC’s position as a provider of world-class wealth and personal banking solutions, directing business development with a focus on customers.

The team works to ensure the most appropriate pricing, products and promotions are directed to the most relevant customers, concentrating on building value, treating customers fairly and creating a superb customer experience.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Head of International Client Onboarding and Cross Border.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and implement the International business model, including International value propositions, distribution strategy, partnership alliance, and cross department collaboration
  • Work closely and build strong relationships with overseas HSBC markets in order to improve corridor collaboration in order to drive key International KPI’s (e.
  • g. Fund Flow Capture rates, International Mortgage referrals and drawdowns, International account opening etc)

  • Liaise with other functions to build a competitive International product proposition for targeted International customers
  • Manage overall business performance, identify development gaps and growth potential and develop concrete enhancements to expand productivity and increase sales
  • Drive the effective roll out of new business initiatives such as marketing campaign, cross border collaboration, ensuring all initiatives and execution are in full compliance with Legal and Regulatory requirements
  • Achieve Annual Operations Plan's target by delivering all strategic initiatives according to plan to achieve the agreed revenue growth target
  • Grow sustainable International Business to increase the Bank's market share
  • Proactively communicate and embed the WPB International strategy, working with the business and function as appropriate
  • Liaise and work in collaboration with various key stakeholders including Propositions, Marketing, Risk, Legal and Compliance, Expat team, and other corridor representatives to ensure business growth is delivered in line with the Group strategic direction
  • Provide direction and solution to the team to ensure activities are carried out successfully and with desired quality
  • Requirements

  • University degree or relevant post graduate qualification
  • In depth understanding and experience in the financial or banking sector
  • Proven record in strategy formulation international banking business and retail banking with strong understanding of customer behaviours
  • Excellent understanding of WPB strategic imperatives and being able to translate them into business objectives and policies
  • Well-developed capability to process high volumes of complex information and synthesize key objectives and issues
  • Strong business acumen with a hands on approach when making improvement and resolving problems
  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills with capability to influence senior teams
  • Advanced strategic planning and project management skill
  • Strong ability to engage stakeholders across businesses and functions
