Technology, Data and Information Management (TDIM)

TDIM is the overall department within the JLL Group responsible for leading the technology and data consultants, business partners, data and information management professionals, and product and project managers to deliver key initiatives in line with the business strategy and priorities.

Reporting directly to the APAC CIO, this individual is a key member in the Business Line Leadership vertical and will be part of the APAC TDIM Leadership Team.

The Role

Chief Information Officer, Greater China (Greater China CIO)

Reporting to the APAC Chief Information Officer of JLL, this individual will be a key leader within our APAC Technology, Data and Information Management (TDIM) , and is accountable for defining and delivering Information Technology and data strategy and capabilities for the Greater China business.

The scope of this role includes the design and delivery of data and analytics services, applications development and support, security and technical services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keeps abreast of emerging digital technology and business trends. Develops and executes a Data and Information Technology strategy that takes advantage of these trends, and ensures its alignment with the enterprise's business strategy and capabilities required to achieve business success as defined by the board.
  • Develops and executes an information strategy that delivers data and analytics platforms and services to JLL ecosystems and partners.
  • Works with enterprise TDIM team and key business stakeholders to identify opportunities for analytical insights, also communicate across business teams to help implementation.

    Develops and executes an analytics program that will allow company business leaders to make data-based decisions.

  • Envisages the future data and analytics needs of the organization. Leads the development of an information architecture and roadmap for exploiting the value of enterprise data assets and external data ecosystem.
  • Defines, prioritizes and delivers the strategy, architecture, governance, and implementation of the platforms, applications and tools for enabling real-
  • time, data-driven decision making and client insight across all of JLL’s services in the geographic coverage.

  • Works with stakeholders and APAC CIO construct to continually optimize data and technology governance and decision-making processes as the business context and technology landscape changes
  • Provides IT leadership and oversees technical services for the business, including :
  • Finance : Oversees the office of the CIO to meet strategic planning, budget management, communication and functional coordination goals
  • Infrastructure and Operations Oversees IT operations and systems’ reliability, performance, security, and business value
  • Vendor and Procurement : Directs the development of IT sourcing strategy and provides executive oversight for strategic vendor and partner relationship management and processes.
  • CISO : Oversees the security, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of enterprise data without disrupting digital transformation and growth.
  • Program Management : Develops and maintain a strategic workforce plan that provides for succession and continuity in the most critical management positions and business-critical projects.
  • Serves on enterprise planning and policy making committees; drives the development of enterprise technology standards, governance processes and performance metrics to ensure the team delivers value to the business.
  • Skills, Experience & Qualifications


  • Fifteen or more years of experience in IT and Data with a large multinational, complex corporation, with a minimum of five to seven years of leadership responsibilities.
  • A global mind-set and demonstrated ability to influence and manage individuals, groups and organizations from other parts of the world.
  • Though not required, Greater China experience is strongly preferred.

  • Preferably five or more years of experience in related, industry-leading, large, cross-functional teams and / or enterprise wide programs, influencing senior-
  • level management and key stakeholders effectively across the departments, organizations and within complex contexts.

  • Preferably proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading digital transformational initiatives in complex and dynamic environments by taking advantage of digital opportunities to innovate business models and enable the digitalization of the business.
  • Financial services or real estate experience is desirable but not required.
  • Knowledge / Skills

  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate a vision that inspires and motivates staff and aligns to the business strategy.
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills to build consensus or commitment in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills.
  • Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies and how other enterprises are employing them to drive digital business and how they may be applied to JLL to drive digital business.
  • Ability to drive organizational change and build capabilities that effectively balance the needs between continuously exploiting capabilities to optimize operational efficiency and delivering innovative and agile IT solutions to enable the business to explore digital business opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders internal and external to JLL.
