Job summary

This position will be under the Employee Referral Program in Hong Kong.

Department : Capital Markets Operations

Team : Capital Markets Transverse Operations


The interest scales & claims analyst is responsible for :

Following-up overdraft costs charged by our agent and ensuring they are justified

Identifying costs for which we are not responsible and raising cases in order to recover them from our counterparties

Investigating claims against CA-CIB in terms in responsibilities and ensuring settlement under best possible delay and lowest costs for CA-CIB

Allocating charges to FO PnL and reporting them to Management, FO and Permanent Control

Key Responsibilities

  • To investigate all new cases of value discrepancy in terms of responsibility and associated costs.
  • To analyze interests scales charged by our agents and ensure they are justified.
  • To issue interest claim request against counterparties each time they have failed to deliver funds to us on time for any costs exceeding a pre-determined threshold.
  • To carry out full investigations of claims raised by a counterparty to identify liabilities.
  • To take relevant actions vs counterparties and / or our agent to settle issue at the lowest costs for CA-CIB.
  • To ensure that ongoing cases are followed-up and chased in accordance with procedures.
  • To write error report for management, FO and permanent control attention.
  • To post entries related to interests claims paid / received or interests scales (overdraft or credit interests).

    Minimal education level

    Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

    Academic qualification / Speciality

  • University Degree
  • Level of minimal experience


  • Prior successful experience in Back-Office (SWIFT payments, Nostro account management, etc.) will be a plus
  • Required skills

  • Ability to write and communicate clearly, easily and efficiently

  • Good judgment, alertness and common sense

  • Versatile with PC tools and applications, e.g. Outlook, Word & Excel
  • Good knowledge of post-trade management
  • Knowledge of payments and compensation rules
  • Knowledge of accounting
  • Risk awareness (especially operational risk)
  • Languages

  • Proficiency in English speaking, reading and writing, French would be a plus
