  • Responsible, in consultation with the General Counsel division, to challenge and assess legal, data and regulatory requirements from international offices to ensure they are aligned to a legitimate risk management benefit with required sponsorship.
  • Evaluate, coordinate and advise with regard to data protection questions and agreements (e.g. on outsourcing, Data Privacy Impact Statements, IGSM, TPRM) that apply to international data transfers, processing and access while compiling, consolidating and interpreting decisions from key business partners in the bank.
  • Prepare and present project related statements in front of internal and external auditors, regulators and the bank’s General Counsel Division in various business locations.
  • Seek to ensure that data protection and regulatory requirements are implemented in DTPL products, applications and solutions, including end users data access.
  • Coordinate with the senior management to design and undertake implementation of standardized, effective processes, procedures and quality assurance and monitoring of legal and regulatory requirements.

  • A minimum of 4-6 years of relevant working experience in a bank, financial institution or consultancy on cross-border legal topics.
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, data privacy / data protection laws, IT, IP and licensing legal proficiencies

  • Proficient in the functions of an international bank and are able to come up with creative and effective business solutions and present in front of Senior Management.
  • Outstanding analytical problem solving skills, including the ability to assess risk and impact from a privacy and data protection perspective.

    Proficient in the IT infrastructures responsible for processing data subject to international data protections

  • Ability to independently, quickly and accurately assess legal, practical and business risks in a fast-paced environment and make good judgments
  • Experience managing complex projects, including prioritizing, working alongside cross-functional teams and demonstrated capabilities in drafting and analyzing executive reports and dashboards.
  • Support and produce regular reports for management consumption on operational enforcement of data protection laws, policies and requirements.
  • Result oriented, dedicated, hardworking and can work on own initiative whilst also working collaboratively and deliver on time with a high level of integrity, sense of urgency, attention to detail and quality standards
