The role is responsible to work with finance and Asia leadership to assist in the business focus on the key drivers which lead to achieving the planned financial target.
The role is accountable for leading and coordinating the full cycle of business planning and analysis, providing high quality reports and should be able to explain the underlying business reasons for the variances / movements in the financial numbers compared to plan and prior periods.
Principal Responsibilities :
As a senior leader in Finance, the person would be expected to lead several (not all) of these areas independently.
Strategic Planning : Lead the process for preparation of three year business plan for Asia including the development of business strategy, operating plans and financial forecasts.
Business Partnering : Work with countries and business functions as business partners to provide regional financial support in formulation of their strategic plans, initiatives and projects
Projections : Lead the monthly projection process to develop regular forecasts using base case and under various stress scenarios across GAAP and Stat metrics.
Management Reporting : Drive the monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting processes and provide insightful analysis of the results to the management.
Investor Relations : Prepare Regional CEO and CFO for interactions with external stakeholder including investors, analysts and rating agencies during quarterly analyst calls, investor days and outlook meetings.
Systems : Act as a business sponsor and provide business insights in development of regional systems for finance
Adhoc analysis : Provide financial analysis and develop presentations for Regional CEO and CFO to provide decision support for complex business issues.
Knowledge / Skills / Competencies Required :
Over 10-15 years total financial analysis in a public or private company environment. Life Insurance industry experience preferred
BA / BS degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial OR equivalent
CPA / CA and / or MBA desirable
