We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Assistant Manager, Financial Reporting.
Assist and supervise the financial reporting team whose roles are to assist in the annual and interim report preparation, administration, compliance and accounting of funds to ensure optimum levels of client servicing and operational efficiency are achieved in line with business and operational plan
Implement a full relationship approach to deliver high standard client services to fund managers and institutional clients
Continuously enhance our services to clients and respond promptly and resolve issues raised directly from external clients
Review work and client deliverables of junior staff to ensure the efficiency of ongoing administration of funds under administration and ensure compliance of provisions as defined in the funds documents
Ensure valuation are delivered accurately and in a timely manner
Assist to formulate and meet tight deadlines and targets, achieve service level standards agreed with clients and maintain proper documentation
Negotiate with external auditors for completion of annual and interim reports
Provide technical support and guidance to resolve operational issues including valuation, pricing, custody related issues as well as those in accounting, reporting, audits and client relationships
Be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with your role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations, follow all procedures that are consistent with HSBC internal control standards and global policies
Maintain HSBC Internal Control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
Assist in ad hoc projects in collaboration with various internal departments
University graduate with a degree in accounting or business related discipline
Relevant experience in fund services or the financial industry with a good understanding of the administration of unit trusts, banking services, accounting, valuation and custody
Strong interpersonal, analytical, project management and problem-solving skills
Strong client facing and negotiation skills to deal with internal and external clients
Able to develop and maintain a good working relationship with clients
Able to provide professional guidelines and advice to clients on operational issues of the alternative fund business as well as enhancing procedures and controls
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Excellent written and spoken English skills
