Job Description Must-Have Responsible for the 24 / 7 support of production Storage & backup services to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security and performance required by the business systems.
Lever key technical skills to ensure the IT infrastructure asset is built and maintained in an efficient and cost-effective manner
Develop and input into key technology Infrastructure Engineering Lifecycle documentation, such as component version and patch management decisions.
Effectively manage the technical implementation and subsequent change on the IT infrastructure asset.
At least five years of experience in managing and leading technical teams.
Significant knowledge and experience in enterprise tier 1 / 2 / 3, SAN and NAS; Backup solution with NetWorker / NetBakcup / VTL Technology.
Ensure enterprise scalability and performance for storage and backup environments through proactive capacity planning, performance control and configuration adjustment.
Analyze and report on system performance.
Optimize data backup and storage systems.
Implement security policies and procedures for storing and safeguarding data.
Install, maintain and upgrade data storage and backup hardware and software.
Maintain documentation of configuration, operation and troubleshooting procedures, and service records for data storage and backup hardware and software.
Ensure troubleshooting in the event of errors and backup problems, and to resolve and analyze the root causes.
Proactively notify customers of failed backup work so that errors can be corrected quickly.
Communicate with hardware and software representatives, as well as other internal teams, to diagnose and resolve errors with root causes.
Participate in the assessment of new requirements, design and technical standards.
Respond to user requests and service requests.
Provide training to users of the data storage system.
A demonstrated understanding of ITIL processes and working within the SDLC.
Ability to mentor less experienced technical personnel.
Advanced status reporting and communications skills that can go across levels in an organization.
May function as a niche technical SME.
Advanced experience in the required technical subject matter.
Should have technical leadership skills and the ability to articulate and compare Alternatives

Technical degree holder with minimum of 6 years IT experience, at least 5 years of IT Infrastructure experience.
Must have proven technical experience of working in a complex IT infrastructure environment
Ability to listen and articulate ideas verbally, and in the written form, to a broad range of audiences; ability to ask probing questions and deliver technical internal presentations
Ability to work well with others and as part of a technical team
Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and critical thinking skills, leveraging both logic and creativity;
