As part of the Sotheby’s Marketing team, the Digital Marketing Associate will play a key role in helping the brand develop and grow its WeChat presence, one of the key digital channels used to reach new and existing clients in Asia.
This role will support the We Chat Digital Marketing Manager in executing the China digital strategies across digital platforms including WeChat, search, vertical media channels, KOL and other emerging social media platforms to drive business, client recruitment and retention, whilst delivering unique and memorable client experiences on the platform.
S / he will also be responsible to provide marketing support to Watches and Wine which are highly digital focus.
Collaborates with multiple stakeholders throughout the organization, locally and abroad (New York, London, Paris) to execute brand and auction campaigns that will drive follower acquisition, purchase and retention
Owns WeChat analytics and reporting, collaborating with the WeChat Digital Marketing Manager and relevant colleagues (Marketing, Editorial, Digital Marketing, Press) to define key performance indicators
Working alongside the WeChat Digital Marketing manager, this role will collaborate with the Digital Marketing and CRM teams to harness WeChat’s CRM capabilities to effectively reach and nurture clients in Asia, with an emphasis on China.
Work with the Wine and Watches departments to provide marketing support.
Bachelor’s degree (Business or Marketing preferred)
Minimum 3 years’ work experience specialized in digital marketing, with a deep understanding of the WeChat ecosystem and China digital marketing landscape, ideally for a luxury e-commerce, art or fashion brand
Hands-on experience with WeChat activations and campaigns utilizing WeChat marketing, payment and CRM tools (ie Mini-Programs, Live Streaming, Mobile Payments, WeChat Work) and different China digital advertising platforms
Strong understanding of Chinese clients and the social communication dynamics
Fluent in Mandarin, Simplified Chinese and English

Experience with other digital marketing ad platforms Weibo, Baidu, Google, Facebook is a strong plus
Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize workload
Collaborative and able to work cross-functionally across various levels of colleagues at the firm, building appropriate rapport, using diplomacy and tact
