An opening has been created within Hong Kong's leading publisher for a skilled software QA engineer who is looking to work in the online media sector.
You will work within an Agile development team to produce and support SCMP's internal web applications using the latest technologies.
You should be an experienced QA engineer with a passion for staying up to date with the latest testing applications, concepts and trends.
You should be confident enough to hit the ground running in terms of your coding ability and work proactively in a team environment to achieve the best results.
The successful candidate will be a detail oriented, enthusiastic self-starter with an understanding of the latest technologies, processes and challenges involved in developing and maintaining a full spectrum of application tests.
Job Responsibilities :
Collaborate with the product owner and developers on the identification of acceptance criteria
Write BDD Scenarios on identified acceptance criteria using the Gherkin syntax
Develop and execute manual and automated verification tests (Web, API, performance tests)
Create, maintain and execute test runs on multiple environments
Report found defects to the engineering team
Work in an agile software development environment using Scrum / Kanban
Adapt new technologies and embrace change
Job Requirements :
Degree holder in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with minimum 5 years of software QA experience on API and Web products
Experience with automation tools
Good understanding of BDD Scenarios, defect tracking and version control
Experience working with Cucumber, WebDriverIO or ArtilleryIO will be considered as a plus
Solid analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
Good command of written and spoken English
Candidate with less experience will be considered as QA Engineer
Work location will be at Causeway Bay office
