Role & Responsibilities :
Job Definition (Key Purpose of the Job) :
As key player in driving flawless GTM planning and execution for Brick and Mortar stores and E-commerce by working collaboratively partnering with Country and Regional Marketing & Merchandising team as well as Buying Team cross division / category.
Ensure that Vans shows up powerfully in stores by formulating best in class assortment strategies for apparel and accessories and drive for optimum and sustainable sales and margin performance coupled with inventory management.
Key Result Areas :
Create an assortment plan strategy in units and dollars for all stores, buys and purchases orders each season in accordance with fiscal responsibilities such as sales, margin, turnover, and works closely alongside the Visual Merchandising team to keep our business on top.
Suggest business needs to achieve optimal KPI’s.
Plans and executes buying options, quantity & quality of merchandise in accordance with customer demand, market trends, and brand direction with respect to local nuances.
Build a strong relationship with the Product Team to collaborate on the assortment strategy & SMU creation to make retail needs known and catered in the APAC line.
Drive and engages in seasonal line reviews and applies current selling and trend knowledge to support future buying strategy.
Support and engage in GTM process, from planning to actual execution by collaborating with Senior GTM Managers, Country / Regional Marketing, Country / Regional Merchandising, Country / Regional Marketing and Buyers of other divisions.
Ensure a holistic point of view by market as well as total APAC and craft the best GTM plan to support achieving fiscal responsibilities.
Create flow strategy to balance overall Retail and Outlet store inventories for the company through timing the delivery of initial and replenishment distributions between DC, Visual Merchandising, and Store Operations to achieve the highest return on investment.
Works with Visual Merchandising team on merchandising and schematics / floor plans for maximum volume impact and visual presentation.
Maximize sales and inventory turn by coordinating with Allocation team for consolidations and model stock levels by store to drive for continuous results.
Consistently review and react to sales performance / selling reports and generate pricing and consolidation directives ensuring greatest sales and margin potential.
Collaborate with Planning and Country Team to plan and execute markdown strategies through reviewing sales results and inventory by class each month and drawing conclusions on the business trends to ensure greatest margin potential for our business.
Evaluate store profile by performance of product, communication and travel to the stores to manage and improve our buying strategies.
Collaborate with business partners to determine the appropriate timing of initial and replenishment deliveries and to communicate needs / strategies with the Store Operations team to meet these demands.
Strategizes opening assortments, quantities, and timing of deliveries for new stores in conjunction with Marketing, Store Operations, Visual Merchandising, and Allocation.
Able to coach, develop and train Buyers to encourage a similar passion for improving our buying strategy to promote growth and success for our company.
Minimum Relevant Experience : >
8 years of experience
Minimum Supervisory Experience : 2 years
Language Proficiency :
Fluent in : English
Preferable second language (if any) : Mandarin / Cantonese / Korean
