Entry Requirements :

a) A bachelor’s degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent, preferably in film, television and digital media, marketing, public relations, communication, or equivalent.

  • A higher degree in cultural management, digital strategy or equivalent will be an advantage;(b) Level 3 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent (see Note 2);
  • c) At least seven years’ full-time post-qualification working experience in marketing with four years of which in managerial positions;
  • d) Good knowledge in the application of common business software of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Chinese word processing, good knowledge in interpretation of e-platform analytics tools will be a plus;
  • e) Good writing skills in both English and Chinese. Candidates are required to pass a written test;(f) Proficiency in speaking English and Cantonese;
  • g) Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and organization skills;(h) Working experience in video production, development of online marketing platforms, or web content management system will be an advantage;
  • i) Working experience in cultural management, event management, publishing and arts administration will be an advantage;
  • and(j) Knowledge of cultural services, including performing arts, museums and films will be an advantage. Note : (1) Applications which did not provide all information as requested or which are not clear that the candidates have met the entry requirements will not be considered.

    2) For non-civil service appointment purpose, Grade C’ in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in HKCEE before 2007 is accepted administratively as comparable to Level 3’ in English Language and Chinese Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.

    3) Applications should be accompanied with a detailed resume setting out the job titles held, the respective companies and a brief description of each of the jobs.

    Duties :

  • a) To promote Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) services, including developing e-platforms and tools for enhancing the outreach to the general public from various segments;
  • b) To widen the audience base and increase the engagement of museum visitors, including devising strategies and implementing campaigns and projects, such as digital marketing strategies and social media promotion;
  • c) To produce videos and boost the video views and engagement to enhance the branding of LCSD Museums and arouse interest of the general public regarding museum culture;
  • d) To oversee the revamping project of the web content management system (WCMS) for Heritage and Museum Division (H&M) and supervise IT office to ascertain its normal operation;
  • e) To ascertain the smooth migration of LCSD Museum Portal to the new WCMS, plan and implement revamping of web design of the LCSD Museum Portal;
  • f) To assist in improvement of web design, user interface and user experience of all H&M websites (including but not limited to 13 LCSD museums, 4 cultural spaces and 3 offices);
  • g) Be responsible for routine cross-checking and information collation for all H&M e-platforms and update to directorates and relevant sections;
  • h) To supervise subordinates to assist in the execution of the above duties; and(i) To perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

    Note : Appointee(s) may be required to work irregular hours, on weekends and / or public holidays. Terms of Appointment :

    Successful applicant(s) will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for a period of 1 year. Fringe Benefits :

    An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted to the appointee upon satisfactory completion of the contract with a consistently high standard of performance and conduct.

    Such gratuity, plus the Government's contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will be equal to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.

    Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity / paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance.
