Team Head, Commercial Banking

You will be responsible for promoting, soliciting and developing existing and new business relating to commercial banking products, including cross-border related products.

Also, you will drive business initiatives in various KPIs of Commercial Banking Division and lead a team of Senior Relationships Managers / Relationship Managers to accomplish the divisional objectives.

Responsibilities :

Develop existing and new business relating to commercial banking products for the assigned clients and / or market segment in accordance with corporate objectives.

Reviews credit proposal, approve credit facilities granted under discretionary powers and recommends credit approval for higher level

  • Reviews existing loans and commitments to identify potential credit problems and ensures conformity with agreement terms;
  • implement appropriate action should an unfavorable trend develop

    Maintains and controls existing business to ensure that the banking services granted are of high professional standard with the aim of maximizing the potential of each relationship and minimizing the risk of loss to the bank

    Identifies business opportunities and develop new relationship in order to achieve specific targets of profitability

    Requirements :

    University degree, preferably MBA, with minimum 15 years relevant experience in commercial lending

    Solid experience in formulating business strategies to achieve business targets

    Strong marketing sense and keep up-to-date information in implementing and monitoring business development.Good exposure in local and cross border business.

    Strong analytical skill and credit sense in analysing relevant data from clients' portfolio and market in order to determine the credit worthiness.

    In-depth knowledge in commercial banking products and services.Able to identify business opportunities and assess customers' needs for exploring businesses.

    Good network in a wide variety of companies and industries for promoting and developing of trade finance and commercial lending activities.

    Strong interpersonal skill in establishing and maintaining relationship with customers.

    Strong leadership skill in leading the team to implement and monitor the business.Solid experience in supervising and coaching subordinates

    Good communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
