    Position Purpose

    WM Credit Structure Team

    WM Structure Credit is a lending specialist team within WM Credit function. We focus to support structure loan book growth and meet revenue goal at a risk and regulatory compliance manner.

  • covering complex transactions, new and existing, originated from WM clients. These include insider single stock lending, exotic structure, one bank transactions and cross boarder mortgage deals.
  • Collateral ranges from insider stocks, illiquid assets and properties.

  • leading transaction or working closely with CIB lending teams, in case of one bank transactions, in pitching, structuring, credit approval and post approval execution.
  • Involving in UHNW client onboarding pitching, partner Relationship Managers in client meeting, identify and formulate lending solution based on the client demand
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and corporate policies and manage auditors and regulators’ communication in relation to Credit Structure team portfolio.
  • Responsibilities

    To support Senior Credit Structurer to achieve credit structuring team mandate. Key responsibilities includes :

  • Work closely with the Relationship Managers, Team Heads, Market Heads, products and business lines as well as functions (legal, client services, compliance) to set up credit offers for clients / prospects
  • Participate into the client meeting, do the research, necessary due diligence and put up credit transaction memo
  • Work closely with RM, legal and credit operations in post approval execution process
  • Provide advice on all sorts of credit related issues, local specific and Hong Kong Monetary Authority related issues
  • Contribute to the update of MIS
  • Monitor the transactions and revenues generated
  • Compliance Aspect :

  • Direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework.
  • Contribute to the implementation of operational permanent control policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities, such as Control Plan
  • Comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines
  • Contribute to the reporting of all incidents according to the Incident Management System
  • Technical & Behavioral Competencies


  • Knowledge of financial analysis, market risk and legal documentation
  • Knowledge of regulatory environment and internal policies
  • Language Proficiency : Fluent in English and Chinese, including Putonghua
  • Programming skill with experience in VBA, MS-access would be considered a plus

  • Able to work in a fast paced team environment, can deliver under considerable time pressure with attention to details and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good team player
  • be able to articulate arguments to get approval / manage expectations
  • Specific Qualifications (if required)

    University graduate in Finance / Economic / Accounting or a technical subject with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience with a multinational bank.
