EY’s Strategy and Transactions (SaT) division offers strategic corporate clients and private equity clients professional transaction advice and services, from the strategic analysis phase of the transaction lifecycle, through execution, to transaction integration.
Within SaT, Valuation, Modeling and Economics (VME) advises our clients on a variety of issues concerning their investment, finance and dividend decisions.
VME teams extensively with other competencies within EY working on a diverse range of issues including but not limited to investments in fintech / insurtech, open banking, regulatory issues as well as the more traditional issues encountered in a transaction.
The Strategy and Transactions (SaT) teams in Asia Pacific has been providing market leading services to clients across Greater China, ASEAN and Oceania for over 20 years.
We support EY clients in the region and globally throughout the transaction lifecycle and have helped EY clients create deal value and manage transaction risks.
FSO SaT focus on serving clients in the banking, insurance, asset management and fintech sectors, which are highly regulated segments bringing more sector specific training and exposures.
Your key responsibilities
Deliver financial modelling engagements for strategic planning, capital allocation, transaction support, investment appraisal, financial planning and reporting purposes
Provide clients with modelling solutions, data analytics and analysis to address complex business problems
Leverage technology, analytical tools and techniques to deliver insights and enhance the value and effectiveness of services provided
Maintain and develop positive, productive and professional relationships with internal and external clients
Work in a highly regarded team, which values collaboration, respect and knowledge sharing work in close collaboration with other SaT teams and the wider firm
Skills and attributes for success
Relevant knowledge, skills and experience at a senior level in the fields of valuations or financial modelling
At least 2- 3 years of financial services or professional services experience
Strong modelling skills and the ability to create fit for purpose financial models (eg. cash flow, integrated financial statement, operational and decision support models) using best practice techniques and applying sound commercial judgment
High emotional intelligence and well-developed communications skills, with a strong focus on building internal and external networks
Ability to learn / demonstrated capability in using visualisation software and managing large data sets
A strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to new challenges in a collaborative environment
Ideally, you’ll also have
A member of CPA or CFA
Big 4 experience
