Department of Paediatrics Project Co-ordinator II The appointee will work at the Lady Pao Children’s Cancer Centre and the Home of the Little Life Warriors in the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin, and work for patient-

care society comprising patients, parents and health care professionals. The appointee will (a) plan and develop coherent children cancer-

related projects / programmes for patients and their parents, such as support groups, parents-support-parents and patients follow-

  • up programmes; (b) run the ward visits, tea parties and individual visits for patients and their parents; (c) cope with or follow up on the personal or psychological issues of patients and their parents;
  • and (d) implement other related activities / classes for patients and their parents. Working outside office hours, including public holidays and weekends, may be required.

    Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree; (ii) registered as social worker in Hong Kong; (iii) at least 2 years’ work experience in children-

  • related activities; (iv) a good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (proficiency in Putonghua will be advantageous);
  • v) proficiency in MS office applications; and (vi) good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate with children, youth and parents.

    Experience in children and family counselling will be advantageous.Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
