Description

We are currently looking for an experienced market research professional with a specialty in survey work who will be part of Euromonitor’s growing consulting team focusing on consumer insights and methodologies.

This includes (but is not limited to) supporting questionnaire development, sampling considerations, analysis, and insights.

This role requires a self-starter who is flexible with global hours to support the growth of custom survey work at Euromonitor, in close collaboration with our consulting and syndicated survey teams.

Reporting to the Senior Global Consultant Consumer Insights, the Consultant will be a key resource for Euromonitor’s consulting research and sales teams when working on projects involving custom survey components.

They must be a self-starting, autonomous individual willing and able to take on personal responsibility for delivering custom survey projects to full client satisfaction.

In addition to execution of survey work, the Consultant will be responsible for assisting in the correct scoping and pricing of custom survey work with consulting proposal writers as well as training a broader set of global consultants in consumer insights best practice.

Project Management and Research Support (60%)

  • Research Support : Advise consulting research teams and provide input into development of new surveys for external clients.
  • Custom survey work may include, but is not limited to, the tasks listed below. The Consultant will guide consulting research teams through these tasks as relevant, based on the needs and experience level of the project team.

    The Consultant may at times perform the work personally, advise internal consultants or project managers on best practices, or manage external analysts directly on the following : Develop a sampling plan that will meet client research needs, project budget, and feasibility limitations of panel providers Develop well-crafted survey questionnaires that meet client needs and are feasible to execute Oversee survey programming and hosting, either internal or via a panel provider Clean and recode final survey results Statistical analysis of final survey results, potentially including descriptive statistics, cross-tabulations, regressions, and cluster analysis Develop and implement analysis plans to interpret quantitative research results Generate strong, value-added consumer insights and / or recommendations for Euromonitor International’s clients

  • Project Management : Manage or facilitate global custom projects and / or manage custom projects with survey components, working closely with custom research staff from inception to delivery.
  • Client Communication : Ensure professional and consistent client communication and presentations for custom survey research.
  • When relevant, present or co-present at client meetings, support client engagements, and facilitate custom survey projects.

    Training and Best Practice Development (25%)

  • Targeted Trainings : Maintain, consolidate, and build (as needed) Euromonitor’s custom survey offering best practices documentation and trainings via : One-on-one work with consulting project teams Global, office or team-wide ad-hoc trainings and demos Creation and maintenance of custom survey resource materials Structured trainings for certification of research consultants
  • Commercial Activities (10%)

  • Consulting Business Development (CGBD) Partnership : Proactively stand as one of the go-to experts for Consulting’s custom survey capability, actively consulting with CGBD on proposals and participating in client calls and pitches.
  • Sales Materials & Training : Collaborate with CGBD and sales to maintain and create any new custom-survey-specific proposal pages, sales collateral, and trainings to ensure that we have a strong and consistent approach to positioning the capability.
  • Client Engagement : Regularly participate in client calls and presentations to support sales in marketing the unique selling points of custom survey offerings.
  • Vendor Engagement : Regularly work with global partners to maintain relationships as well as a database of approved go to vendors per Euromonitor’s vendor process.
  • Additionally, the Consultant will also proactively scope potential partners for other non-survey consumer methodologies.

    Syndicated Survey Partnership and Thought Leadership (5%)

  • The Consultant will also work with the syndicated Survey team to continue growing Euromonitor’s existing syndicated survey offering.
  • This may include the following : Train and mentor Survey Associates and Analysts Work strategically with the Senior Survey Manager to expand use of Euromonitor syndicated survey data, internally and externally Share best practices and custom survey materials with syndicated Survey team

    Requirements

    Euromonitor International is looking for creative yet analytical candidates with initiative and excellent written communication skills in English.

    It is important that the role be filled with a candidate who works well in an autonomous environment and is proactive about supporting colleagues through knowledge sharing and hands-on guidance.

    Other requirements include :

  • Survey / technical experience Proven experience and success developing high quality survey questionnaires. Minimum 5-7 years of specialized knowledge and analytical, workplace experience in survey research.
  • Knowledge and understanding of quantitative market research processes and methodologies; experience with qualitative market research also a plus.

    Proficiency in statistics, including multivariate analysis via statistical software (SPSS preferred; SAS, Stata, R skills also transferrable).

    Proficiency in a survey programming tool also a plus.

  • Client-facing consulting experience Commercial experience working with clients to scope and price custom survey projects.
  • Ability to synthesize and prioritize vast amounts of information and produce summaries of research findings as well as big picture’ stories.

    Ability to clearly communicate research findings, implications and recommendations in a concise manner. Comfort working directly with clients to offer the best custom survey solution and analysis for each project.

    Ability to collaborate effectively with a group of creative individuals to produce highly polished and professional finished products.

    Ability to produce effective ideas under timelines. Demonstrated experience handling multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines while managing all project responsibilities with exceptional attention to detail.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency using MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
