WeLab is looking for a Senior Operational Risk Manager to join the team!
What you will be doing
Develop and oversee operational risk management practices, policies, procedure, internal controls
Apply operational risk management tools to help with identifying, assessing, monitoring and controlling operational risk
Assess and challenge the current risk control structures by noting any weaknesses, producing report to senior management and monitoring the implementation progress of the enhanced controls
Manage incident reporting including follow up on and ensure effective mitigation of incidents logged by the business and investigation of thematic issues
Report suspicious activity by escalating and reporting the operational risk issues to the senior management of WeLend and the Group
Conduct due diligence pertaining to new products, services and insourced or outsourced activities, as well as give advice on operational risk management matters

What is required and what we’re looking for
Degree holder in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent disciplines. Holder of relevant Professional Qualification (eg.
HKIB) will be an advantage
Minimum 8 years’ experience in financial industry with 5 years’ experience in operational risk or fraud risk management in banking or finance industry, preferably from retail lending environment
Control conscious with strong sense in risk awareness
Good logical thinking and analytical skills
Able to work independently and a good team player
Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
