Main Responsibilities
Perform the checker role and duties of Custodian business, including but not limited to :
Daily trade settlement operations, including funding arrangement, monitor the settlement cycle and follow-up with counter parties for any exception item;
Handle and monitor Corporate Action events for different kinds of products and markets;
Monitor and operate various settlement systems including ICSD, CMU;
Perform position reconciliation between internal and external records;
Provide advisory supports and assistance to Business Units related to Custodian operations
Prepare daily or monthly reports for management or regulatory purpose
Review the procedure and process on an on-going basis to identify areas of improvements that will enhance or streamline the current process
Support ad hoc tasks and project UAT
Requirements
Degree holder or above with good business acumen
At least 5 years of relevant work experience with strong knowledge product knowledge in Custodian operations with minimum 2 years at supervisory / checker level
Good knowledge of market best practice; familiar with custodian operations with good knowledge of custody system operations
Solid experience in corporate action handling
Detail-oriented, numerical and careful, presentable, professional, and a team player
Strong drive and commitment, hardworking, excellent ability in problem solving, perform under pressure and deliver on schedule
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new environment / platforms for the business as required
Good command of written and spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua
Good communication & interpersonal skills to cultivate and build strong team work
