The role :

As part of our international expansion, Diligent is looking to hire a Regional Sales Director, based in either Sydney, Hong Kong or Singapore to cover Japan and South Korea.

The Regional Sales Director will be responsible for directly signing key clients and building our Diligent brand across the region using their strong knowledge of market dynamics and industry contacts.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Research and understand the Japanese market for Diligent’s services, including competitor analysis.
  • Learn, enhance and implement the Diligent sales methodology for the Japanese market.
  • Stimulate and create market demand.
  • Identify key market dynamics, create alliances and a relevant, dynamic and influential network.
  • Working with the marketing team, implement the global strategy in a way that has meaning locally to the market, yet remains absolutely consistent with the brand.
  • Develop an expert knowledge in Diligent’s SaaS offerings.
  • Understand customer needs and help develop solutions through Diligent’s offerings.
  • Negotiate and close on an increasing volume of sales targets each quarter during the first six quarters as this new market matures.
  • The Requirements :

    This role requires strong communication and negotiation skills. Additionally, qualified candidates :

  • Must possess excellent spoken and written English, Japanese and Korean.
  • Ability to create strategy and hunt for new opportunities.
  • Must understand and respect the business and cultural norms of Japan.
  • Understand a multifaceted, complex selling process.
  • Have a strong academic record or relevant combination of University education and experience.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • A passion for problem solving
  • Complete comfort working in a fast-paced environment, yet in a remote role.
