Job Summary : This position is responsible for overseeing the day to day management of claims and staff under Marine, Property and Engineering lines to ensure delivery of excellent claims services and efficient claims operation. Job Duties :
Manages the team for the Involved Lines of Business and provide / recommend necessary training mentoring and guidance to the team members.
Review, evaluate, negotiate and resolve non-standard and complex cases, within designated personal authority level, in line with established standards, procedures and guidance provided.
Exhibit technical leadership, both internally and externally, on claims matter which the Company participates.
Identifying, investigate suspicious / fraudulent claims and take appropriate actions and keep relevant stakeholders closely informed.
Managing customer / intermediary interactions in an efficient, courteous and timely manner in order to deliver high standards of customer satisfaction.
This also includes handling and resolving any customer feedback or complaints.
Organizing and using approved internal and / or external suppliers to ensure appropriate and timely services are provided to customers.
Proactively supervise and manage expenses of independent vendors and legal counsels for involved Line(s) of Business.
Interact with relevant internal / external stakeholders to support and deliver business strategy.
Meet with existing or prospective clients or intermediaries to promote Claims and support business development.
Ensure performance of periodic internal review of claim files including monitoring / pursuing of outstanding recoveries.
Preparation of reports or analysis where necessary.
Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and policy requirements internally and externally.
