The appointee will work closely with the Project Investigator in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and his research group to develop and investigate a new tree-inspired system for resisting the impact of debris flow.
He / She will conduct indoor experiments, analyse and interpret data, and prepare test reports. The appointee is expected to participate in multiple project meetings with engineers and contractors to discuss the design of the systems during the appointment period.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or related field. Experience in conducting academic research will be an advantage.

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
