Our growing enterprise is seeking an experienced payroll professional to join our global team. This team ensures that the organization’s multiple payrolls are processed accurately and on time.
This position would reside in our HR Infrastructure team and would be based in our Shenzhen, China location.
As part of a global team, the payroll specialist will perform essential tasks required for the execution of end-to-end global payroll operations, while ensuring integrity of financial information, in accordance with internal policies and external government regulations.
Responsibilities for their supported countries :
Collection and audit of full-cycle payroll related data sources for use in payroll generation.
Review and reconcile payroll data from employee time to vendor imports and / or interfaces.
Review and resolve payroll compliance and data errors such as direct deposit returns, time collisions, and faulty record keeping with emphasis on exceptional customer service across functions.
Navigate complex situations, recognizes problematic areas, take ownership of communications through resolution.
Establish and monitor payroll controls that ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Understands and able to apply taxable wage impact of earnings, deductions and taxable events.
Audit payroll calculation methodologies and test payroll system updates.
Provide external audit preparation & response.
Continually evaluate and update existing work processes to ensure most effective use of resources, and recommend improvements.
Solid and current understanding of rules, regulations, policies and practices governing wage payments, distributions, and record keeping.
Demonstrated knowledge of payroll administration including the basics of the payroll cycle, time and attendance, gross to net, deductions, taxes, direct deposits, live checks from data collection to booking to general ledger.
College degree and a minimum of 5 years related experience, preferably with in-house payroll processing systems.
Ability to work under pressure and perform multifaceted projects in conjunction with daily activities.
Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and influencing skills.
Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements.
Accurate advanced mathematical, excel and other data modeling skills.
Exceptional detail-oriented, organization and time management skills.
Use chart of accounts, laws, codes, policies and procedures that pertain to assigned duties.
Proficiency in spreadsheet applications including v-lookup, pivot tables, and filtering.
