What is the opportunity?
As the Associate Director, Business Transformation Group, you will be responsible for delivering projects that meet defined objectives, budgets and schedules .
What will you do?
Work across a number of workstreams in parallel, with project teams across multiple time zones, and manage workstream interdependencies and risks across the profile.
Lead, influence and manage cross-functional teams, including regional heads of Business / Functions, SMEs, application developers and other functional groups, to ensure adequate coordination of project tasks, resolution / escalation of issues, tracking of risks / KPIs and timely delivery in accordance to the project timeline.
Develop project proposals and establishes appropriate governance frameworks for project executions.
Oversee project delivery by resources and manage resource capacity tracking and forecasts, in the capacity of a project lead.
Identify and manage project costs and budgets, anticipating operational risks.
Works with Business / Technology Owners to ensure that the deliverables achieve the business result that enables value creation.
Manages the execution / production of management documents (plans, status reports, RAID log, executive presentations etc).
Raises and tracks risks, issues and conflicts, removes barriers, resolves minor project issues and escalates them to management and / or stakeholders when required.
Play an active delivery role including taking on business analysis, testing, and other activities as required and determined by the context and resource profile of projects.
What do you need to succeed?
A demonstrable Project Management background in Capital Markets (CM) / Investor & Treasury Services (I&TS) / Wealth Management (WM), with at least 10 years of experience in managing projects
Proven experience in delivering complex Transformation projects
Experience in a complex, multi-entity, system and regulatory environment
Project manager experience from project inception through to delivery in a multi-project environment, and understanding of PM principles and IT project lifecycles (development, UAT, SST and SIT)
Experience with various project delivery methodologies, such as Waterfall, Iterative, RAD and / or Agile
Strong commercial acumen, knowledge of CM / I&TS / WM financial products and operational processes
CA / CPA / CFA, and / or Bachelor’s degree in Finance related area e.g. Accounting / Business Administration
Project Management certification (e.g. Prince, PMBOK)
Understanding of end-to-end data / system flows from Front Office to Back Office systems
