Sales Engineer Sr I
At Synopsys, we believe that the low standards of quality, security, and predictability provided by traditional software development practices are unfortunate and unnecessary.
Our sales engineers educate customers on how they can proactively remove defects early in the development cycle by using Synopsys SIG application security testing solution, and lead customers through evaluations - showing them how to improve software quality, security, and reduce the total time and cost required to produce high quality software.
Key Areas of Focus :
Technical Sales : The Sales Engineer develops a complete understanding all the technical aspects of a sales opportunity.
Conducts and manages evaluations for prospective customers. Develops and delivers technical presentations and product demonstration targeted to engineers and engineering management at prospective customers.
Communicates with customers, prospects, partners, and the Company to aid in the development of new products and features that meet customer needs more effectively.
Technical Account Management : Provides consistent, proactive, technical leadership and expertise to ensure the success of customer deployments.
Measures and maintains customer satisfaction, while driving each account to enterprise-wide adoption.
Develop and deliver high-quality product presentations targeting technical audiences
Conduct on-site evaluations at prospective clients to open new accounts.
Design, verify and present application security testing solutions, including advanced product concepts, advanced integration proposals, future directions, and third party complementary products.
Communicate new features and enhancement requests to Synopsys SIG Product Marketing and Engineering.
Communicate on security topics with prospect / customer, be a trusted advisor regarding software security aspect.
BS or MS in computer science & engineering, with 5 years of technology experience (in software or development tools) as a Software Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Field Applications Engineer.
Must have developed a significant piece of software in Java / C#. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 - 3 years of experience as a developer in Java / C# in developing enterprise application, preferably in FSI industry.
Knowledge of C and C++ Language is added advantage.
Hands on experience in using Static Code Analysis tools like Klocwork, Codesonar, Fortify, Parasoft, CheckMarx.
Has worked as Sales Engineer or Application engineer in any of these application is added advantage.
Hands on experience in using security tools like AppScan, Metasploit, NMap, Nesuss, Fiddler, Burpsuite, Peach. Has worked as Sales Engineer or Application engineer in any of these application is added advantage.
Strong knowledge of Scripting languages like Shell / Perl / Python.
Basic knowledge of Build Systems (make, ant, maven).
Basic knowledge of Source Code Control Systems (Git, ClearCase, Perforce, Subversion, CVS) and Bug Tracking Systems (Bugzilla, ClearQuest, JIRA).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English and Chinese Language). Verbal communication of Cantonese is necessary.
Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
Team player with a customer-focused attitude.
